NYSIM Fellow Helps Facilitate Simulation Session at the 2015 Annual Meeting of the Society for Mater-nal Fetal Medicine

In collaboration with MFM faculty and fellows from around the country, NYSIM Simulation and Education Fellow Kristen Uquillas helped facilitate a 4-hour workshop entitled “Practical Obstetric Critical Care: Hand-On Simulation” to fifty participants. The workshop was designed to strengthen participant’s under-standing of sepsis, endocrinologic emergencies, cardiac arrest, and transfusion for coagulopathy during pregnancy through immersive simulations and hands-on skills stations. The course was well received by participants and Kristen hopes to assist with it again as an MFM fellow at the 2016 meeting.
